Welcome to my blog! I document my travel adventures. Flying to new locations, taking old-fashioned road trips and backpacking through iconic trails are some of the many stories I want to share. Come for the pictures and stay for the inspiration!
Here are some of our camping locations that we've used. Some are free camping using district lands and some are parks/national parks.
This site offered a fire ring, picnic table and a compost toilet. Bring your own potatable water.
If you're instead in camping here for free, click here and then on the navigation side, click Licenses & Permits. Super easy e-permit.
Though this site was gravel, it did offer potable water and an electric outlet. The park itself is beautiful. You can snorkel and explore Florida's reef.
Check the park out here.
This site felt deluxe! Had a pavilion with fireplace, non potable water spigot, an electric outlet, a fire ring and a portable toilet. Have a water filter or bring your own water.
If you're interested in camping here for free, visit here and look into their reservation system.
Here is a gallery of the area and some of the animals we saw.
