Mermaids!
We left the hotel and found a Chick-Fil-A in a mall for some chicken biscuits.
We arrived at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. We managed to see the mermaids in their first show of the day. They were beautiful! They did a rendition of the story, The Little Mermaid. They used air tubes once in a while to take a breath. Very awesome. I'm glad that we were able to see the show. They've really looked like mermaids like real life mermaids. A turtle kept trying to chill with the mermaids during the show. It's cool to see that all the fish are still in the spring as they perform.
We went to the water park section. We had to jump in the water because it's a spring and it's about 70 degrees. There were three water slides. The price of admission is a little higher than normal state parks but you get a water park, a spring and water shows for the price.
It's worth it. We did stay a little longer because it was so nice there. We enjoyed the park fora few hours before we took off.
We drove north and west. Came up to Carrabelle Beach by St. George Island. Hung out and walked around for a bit.
On our way to Marianna, J.J had to get the car to take a piss so I parked at this abandoned building because there was nothing but woods and random Houses. No gas stations, nothing in the area. I was watching two feral Pomeranians and he comes back rather quickly and told me to start driving. I asked him what was up after pulling away. He said after he was doing his thing, he looked over and it was a big pile of fresh bear poop right next to him. A bear is the one thing we haven't seen on a trip.
Kept driving west then North. I wanted to settled down but there was no where to stay. Only essences of towns and prisons. I figured the closer we get to Marianna, the earlier we can enjoy the tour the next day. I drove all the way to Marianna on that night, settled into a cheap hotel and passed out later. That hotel was seedy! It was a good thing I didn't care. I knew we were leaving early in the morning so I was just thankful to get a room.
